ScrapBaiting - Part 1: Putting Out the Bait
Thursday, October 23, 2008 21:37Do you want to build backlinks and search engine rankings from your site easily through all your posts? Then you’re
going to be looking for something called ScrapBaiting. Chances are you won’t know what ScrapBaiting is, since I just coined the term about 5 minutes ago
. So I’d like to tell you about a way you can build solid and unique backlinks to your blogs, all by just adding a couple of simple keywords to your post.
What is ScrapBaiting?
ScrapBaiting is a free and unique way I just figured out to get backlinks from many different sites. First of all, let me tell you that a scrapper site is basically a site that “scrapes” content from other sites through RSS feeds to post on it’s own site for a quick buck. Now, I’m going to show you how get backlinks from them. What you’re doing when you scrap bait is just adding certain keywords onto your post, waiting to catch some suckers, and the hooking them in. The next two parts will be discussed later in the series.
Putting Out the Bait
First of all, we’re going to put some bait into our post. All you have to do is put some terms that content scrapers are going to be looking for, such as credit cards, mortgage, refinance my home, and let’s throw mesothelioma in there for good measure. What you’re basically doing here is throwing those keywords into the fray for Google’s Blog Search, which is what many content scrapers use to find their prey source. All keywords I’ve used are high paying adsense or affiliate marketing keywords, as this is where you will the majority of scrappers.
What Now?
All you have do now is see if anyone picks up on your bait and makes a post on a scraper blog using your content. When and if they do, we’re going to pick them up on it and we’re going to use them to make money. Keep following this series to find out how.

Hey Tushard, great info. but doesn’t Google frown on this? I wouldn’t want to get Google mad at me.lol

I doubt google frowns on it. It’s not my fault that these sites are picking up my content. Am I not allowed to use words like credit card and refinance in my content?
As long as they fit in. My next post will talk more about using them.

Hmm… still haven’t been able to figure out how you propose to do this. Guess I’ll have to keep reading.
